Girls of Color Summit | 2024
WHO ARE WE?
Brought to you by the Gayle R. Davis Center for Women and Gender Equity, The Girls of Color Summit is an annual program that was created to support girls of color, women of color and non-conforming people of color, and allies in our surrounding communities. The program seeks to connect diverse 6th-12th grade students from our surrounding communities for a full day of hands-on social justice workshops.
The GOCS allows us to carry on our mission of gender justice to educate our campus and community through unifying student leaders to engage in a common purpose to create a positive impact in the world.
GOCS highlights the importance of centering the experiences of girls, women of color, and other non-conforming gender identities in empowering the community to develop leaders who advance a culture of gender justice.
